NEW! CURATED COLLECTIONS
Favorite hardware selections from leading designers & architects. Industry leading designers and architects love to incorporate Sun Valley Bronze hardware into their residential, commercial and hospitality projects. Take a peek at some of our most popular selections in these collections curated by Sun Valley Bronze, key design partners, and pivotal clients.
Our first collection is curated by the Seattle based design studio Hoedemaker Pfeiffer.
When asked about specifying hardware, Justin Oldenhuis, Hoedemaker Pfeiffer Project Manager, shared, 'It’s always a careful consideration of how the object feels in the hand, its haptic experience. This is a part of the architecture that the inhabitant physically touches on a daily basis.'
For years, our team has utilized Sun Valley Bronze hardware in projects for its timeless designs and top-tier craftsmanship. Given our alignment in values, we curated a collection of our favorite hardware pieces to share with our clients, followers, and the design community.
When it comes to locally made hardware in the Wood River Valley, Sun Valley Bronze has you covered. This long-standing institution in the valley is an inspiration. “We love living and working in the Wood River Valley,” says Aimee. “This is our home, and we are lucky to have our company located in this beautiful part of Idaho. Sun Valley attracts great talent. Our employees are aligned with us in our efforts to create the highest quality products and maintain a sustainable workplace committed to protecting the environment. We feel so grateful to operate our business just a few miles from our home, surrounded by our gorgeous mountains and clear skies.”
““This is our home, and we are lucky to have our company located in this beautiful part of Idaho — surrounded by our gorgeous mountains and clear skies.””
Since our humble beginnings in 1992, we have been deeply committed to creating the finest handmade bronze hardware on the market. Throughout the years, we have held innovation, sustainability, honest customer service and timeless design as the core values of our business.
Today, Sun Valley Bronze is still family owned and operated. Our founder, Bob Commons, continues to operate a lathe in our machine shop alongside an outstanding team of machinists. Debbie Commons, our CEO, runs the business with the support of an excellent administrative group. From our dedicated sales team to our foundry technicians, our patina artists to our engineers, Sun Valley Bronze has grown into a special place full of action, capability, problem solving and creativity. Our facilities have expanded from a small garage to a state-of-the-art manufacturing campus. This year we are building a new foundry and an additional machine shop to support increased demand for our products across the globe.
It has been quite a journey so far… and we couldn’t have done any of this without our incredible clients and our supportive community. Thank you. We are looking forward to what the future holds, and we are excited about the possibilities ahead.
Not only aesthetically beautiful, our bronze hardware has the additional benefit of natural anti-microbial and self-decontaminating properties due to the high copper content in the alloys. Research has shown that copper and its alloys inhibit the growth and spread of harmful bacteria and viruses.
Uncoated copper-alloy hardware can prevent frequently touched surfaces such as door knobs, railings and cabinet hardware, from serving as reservoirs for the spread of pathogenic microbes. At Sun Valley Bronze, we do not use lacquers or coatings over our finishes, so the copper element is exposed, enabling the antimicrobial properties of the copper.

A sense of rhythm is achieved by uniformity in scale and proportion, although the individual products are asymmetric in design. Informed by process and the inherent beauty of bronze, ASSEMBLAGE utilizes the practices of casting to create a collection that is eclectic, artful and entirely its own. The collection includes door hardware, cabinet knobs and pulls, and grip handles.

“Interacting with design clients, Lang sensed both a hunger for custom weekend homes and a worry that commissioning one would take too much time. In 2011, when the architect discovered 131 forested acres for sale about two hours north of New York by car, he realized he could unlock that latent demand with an alternative to the traditional subdivision.”

When Jennifer Sagum embarked on a gut renovation of her family’s Williamsburg home, she need not look far for inspiration. Having spent the past eighteen years immersed in the world of Marc Jacobs, she drew upon her keen eye and fashion sensibility to inform the creative process. "I’ve been vintage shopping since I was in 7th grade…I wear a lot of Marc and mix it with vintage. That’s how I wanted my home to be," the VP of Global Advertising & Media shares. To curate the perfect mix of old and new, Sagum turned to interior designer and vintage dealer Jennifer Chused of Chused & Co. Like Sagum, Chused began her career in fashion—first at Donna Karan and later at publications like Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Elle. "The house is very fashion," remarks Chused, who referenced Sagum’s own style of dressing as a source of inspiration. The pair hit it off and worked together to create a space that celebrates pattern and whimsy in a sophisticated way.
